CHEESE PLEASE GELATO TRIO

Say cheese!  Designed to shake up the traditional idea of what gelato should taste like, this trio of flavours takes the enjoyment of cheese gelato to the next level.  After searching for the best Victorian artisan cheeses we selected a cheddar and a blue from Long Paddock, and a goat tomme from Stone & Crow.  Recipes were refined and we experimented to find the perfect flavours to pair with the different cheeses.  The result?  Flavours that will not only surprise but also delight.  The “Cheese Please” trio landed in store in November and is now available for wholesale or events only.

Cheddar with Pear, Honey & Whiskey Jam

Created with Long Paddock “Granite” Cheddar, this unique gelato is mixed and layered with house-made jam featuring Victorian grown pears, local Bayside honey and Tasmanian Hellyers Road single malt whiskey.  Long Paddock’s small-scale organic cow’s milk cheeses are created in Castlemaine, and the cheddar, made in the traditional style of Somerset cheddar, is aged for 10-12 months making this gelato one that’s not to be missed.

Goat Cheese with Chocolate Walnut Brownie

A smooth and creamy Stone & Crow “The Curfew” goat tomme cheese gelato is generously studded with chunks of decadent Zelda Bakery chocolate walnut brownie and ribbons of single origin 76% Ratio Cocoa dark chocolate. Stone & Crow cheeses are made in the Yarra Valley with the milk from a single herd of goats located near Mansfield. “The Curfew” has a rich flavour with undertones of roasted nuts with a buttery caramel finish.

Blue Cheese with Fig Jam & Pecans

Created with Long Paddock “Bluestone” blue cheese and folded throughout with house-made fig jam and candied maple pecans makes this gelato the perfect pairing of flavours.  The salty blueness of the cheese is balanced with the sweetness of the figs and the crunch of the pecans candied with maple syrup.

The Little Sky “Cheese Please” trio of flavours are all created with Gippsland Jersey milk and cream.
